What business sizes are suitable for CloudPayroll?

CloudPayroll is suitable for all sized businesses from a few employees up to several hundred. It is widely used by many industries, groups and franchises.


How do I get started with CloudPayroll?

Getting started is easy with CloudPayroll, either click on the green free trial button on our home page or simply email and we can get it all underway for you.


Do you manage my PAYG?

Yes, it’s easy to stay compliant with CloudPayroll as we can manage the payment of your PAYG with your bank ABA file when paying employees. We will also be compliant with Single Touch Payroll reporting effective 1 July 2018.


I have more than one payroll in my company, can CloudPayroll handle this?

CloudPayroll is very flexible and caters for multiple pay cycles, including weekly, fortnightly, bi-monthly, 4 weekly and monthly and multiples of these. Group reporting is available, which includes Payroll Tax report.


Can I pay my staff?

Yes you can pay your staff, CloudPayroll will calculate the gross wages, PAYG, superannuation contribution and take home pay.  You can pay your employees direct either manually or via bank ABA file.


What ongoing help/support do I get?

CloudPayroll provides an easy set up process backed by thorough training and ongoing free support. As well as providing you with the confidence to manage your payroll, our friendly support team will be there to help when a query arises. Furthermore, the CloudPayroll software is centrally updated by CloudPayroll to ensure changes to legislation, state holidays or other issues never cause any surprises.


Does CloudPayroll have an enterprise model?

Indeed, CloudPayroll is scalable for the enterprise market as well as being suitable for larger employee numbers and multi-organisations. These customers will receive additional reporting to our standard service as well as custom fields, user access and individual business pricing.




How do my employees record their time?

Using any Web-enabled device an employee can enter the time they have worked and other relevant details into a timelog (timesheet) created in their Employee Kiosk. The employee then submits time logs for approval by their employer’s paymaster or timelog approver. The CloudPayroll system can also accommodate traditional paper time sheets if required.


Can your system be used with biometric time clocks?

Yes, CloudPayroll works closely with a wide range of interface partners




How much sick leave are my employees entitled to?

Sick and other leave types are very easy to administer, with flexibility provided to cater for differing requirements. When time leave is recorded, the CloudPayroll system will automatically process and update balances.


Does CloudPayroll manage parental leave?

Yes, there is various ways to record and pay so it will depend on your requirements.


How do I know how much annual leave my employees are entitled to take?

Depending on your employees employment agreement we make it very easy for you to administer annual leave, including providing considerable flexibility to cater for more complex requirements. Having confirmed the rules that apply during the system set up each time leave is recorded, the CloudPayroll system will automatically process and update the balances. A wide range of leave reports are available for the employer. Another benefit of CloudPayroll is employees can view their leave balances, leave calendar and projected leave balance for a future date, via their on-line Employee Kiosk.

Does CloudPayroll manage casual employees?

Yes CloudPayroll easily manages casual employees as well as those on variable hours.


How does CloudPayroll accommodate contractors?

Contractors are set up in CloudPayroll with GST, Non GST Registered, superannuation (if required) PAYG (if required). You choose whether a Remittance advice or Recipient Created Tax invoice is generated.




What HR does your system offer?

We have a variety of HR reports and custom fields that can be set up for things such as training, performance reviews, certificates held, licenses expiry etc. You can upload a photo to an employees’ ‘file’ and also documents such as employment contracts, certificates etc. There is no additional charge to have your HR in the cloud.




Where do I find my payslip?

By simply logging into your Employee Kiosk using any Web-enabled device.


As an employee, what do I do if I can’t remember my password?

Go to our Website  and click on the “Login” button at the top-right of the homepage, Then select “Reset my password”, enter your username (your email that you provided to your employer) where indicated and hit the enter key (we will E-mail you a reset link).


My employer hasn’t given me a login to get my payslip what do I do?

Please contact your employer or person managing your employer’s payroll and request a copy of your recent Payslip which will contain details of how to log into your Employee Kiosk. Our help team are not able to deal directly with employees.


If I previously worked for a company that used CloudPayroll, can I still see my old pay information on your system?

Provided the information you are seeking was generated within the past 12 months, then yes, simply login as usual to the Employee Kiosk using your previous details. 


What if I have a question about my payslip?

Contact your employer or person managing your employer’s payroll (please note, CloudPayroll staff are not able to assist directly with an Employee about their payslip queries).




How much does the CloudPayroll payroll system cost?

Our standard pricing is $2.20 per person as well as a $7.75 payrun charge per week (set up fees will also apply, and GST and usual bank fees are not included in these prices). Do you charge bank fees?

If we are managing your banking our bank fees are on-charged at $0.30 per transaction.




How secure is CloudPayroll?

You can have every confidence in the integrity, security and privacy provided by CloudPayroll’s payroll system. Our multiple server locations are monitored 24/7 and our system is equipped with full disaster recovery capabilities. Furthermore, CloudPayroll utilises the Google Authenticator app to provide industry-leading two-factor authentication (2FA).




Does your payroll system handle piece work calculations?

Yes, CloudPayroll recognises that some people are paid on the basis of the number of items produced rather than an hourly wage.


Can I easily migrate from my current payroll software to CloudPayroll?

Absolutely, our highly-trained migration team will set up your employees’ information from any other payroll system into CloudPayroll’s state-of-the-art offering. Our friendly support team will also provide full training, plus ongoing phone and email support.


Does CloudPayroll link with Xero?

Yes, CloudPayroll parent company iPayroll, was the first payroll system to provide seamless integration with Xero in 2007. Our enhanced services include generating accounts payable invoices into Xero. These invoices will contain your Xero accounts and your Xero tracking categories if used.


Am I able to use Kitomba with CloudPayroll?

Yes Kitomba is one of our Interface partners widely used in the hair and beauty industry. We have many clients using both systems to make paying their staff easy.
