Helping businesses with
payroll since 2011

About Us

CloudPayroll, launched in 2011, was developed and designed specifically for Australian businesses. Our parent company, iPayroll, launched in New Zealand in 2001 and across the group, we have over 10,000 clients and pay many hundreds of thousands of employees every month.

With the advancement of cloud technology many things have changed over the years but one thing that has not changed is our commitment to deliver an excellent cloud-based payroll solution to future-proof Australasian businesses.

Meet our team

Martin Gleeson

Chairman

In the early 2000s, when most people were using dial-up modems, Martin saw the potential of the Internet. He realised it would allow developers to build cloud-based payroll and HR services cost effectively for small and medium businesses. So, with a couple of developers, he set to work on a solution, building on his experience of providing online payroll solutions for large organisations and corporate entities.

Today, with around 70 employees and over 10,000 customers on both sides of the Tasman. Martin and his companies continue to innovate with the latest technologies, apps, and tools, to give customers excellent users experiences and reliable and secure payrolls.

Martin completed an MBA at Otago University. He enjoys boating, fishing, golf, snooker, rugby, and travel and is regularly seen at international sporting events throughout the world.
