Marketing Lead - Melbourne

 

CloudPayroll is a leading provider of cloud-based payroll solutions developed for Australian businesses. Our payroll solution is suitable for a small business with one employee up to an enterprise business with several hundred employees, a group of businesses or a franchise and in any industry.

We are looking for a driven and creative Marketing Lead to own and execute marketing strategies that drive lead generation, customer acquisition and engagement.

Starting with a firm focus on the Australian market, this is a new role to the Group and a unique opportunity for the right person to truly shape a role while it is still taking form.

You will help define what marketing looks like and play a key part in driving that through to success. If you want to own a role and bring fresh ideas to life, this could be your moment.

This role is based in our Melbourne office and whilst your core focus will be growing the Australian market, it will also have touch points across our New Zealand Group entities.

You will …

  • Lead and enhance brand positioning, messaging, and communications across all channels with a firm focus on lead generation
  • Monitor industry trends and attend key events to inform forward-thinking strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align product offerings with market and customer needs
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies with the Product Team for target audiences
  • Align marketing with business goals through cross-functional team collaboration
  • Manage digital advertising efforts, including LinkedIn, Google Ads, and SEO
  • Oversee content creation across platforms to ensure brand consistency
  • Conduct market research to guide strategy and identify opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with external agencies and marketing partners

And you also have …

  • 3–5 years minimum marketing experience, ideally in SaaS or a related industry
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
  • Naturally creative with strengths in writing, design, or content creation
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work on time
  • Proven results with lead generation and brand management, preferably in professional services or fintech/payroll
  • Experience leading go-to-market product rollouts across teams
  • Proficient with CRM, CMS, and email marketing platforms
